Jin Air takes on first Airbus A321

South Korean budget carrier Jin Air recently took delivery of its first Airbus A321. The narrowbody aircraft is also the first Airbus jet to join its fleet.

The leased A321-200 registered HL8004 was delivered to Jin Air in September 2026. With an age of 14 years, HL8004 was previously operated by Asiana Airlines.

Onboard, the Jin Air A321 features 174 seats including 12 JINI BIZ seats and 162 seats in Economy.

According to data from Flightradar24, the newly added A321 has been operated by Jin Air on domestic flights from the two Seoul-area hubs Incheon and Gimpo to both Busan and Jeju.

Jin Air is expecting to take delivery of at least three A321neos.

Operating as one of the three budget subsidiaries of Korean Air, Jin Air currently has a fleet of 33 aircraft comprised of mostly 29 narrowbody Boeing 737s including the majority 19 737-800s, 3 bigger 737-900s, and 7 737-8s (737 MAX 8). In addition, Jin Air has three widebody Boeing 777-200s.
