Philippine Airlines to operate two special flights to Davao with the flagship A350-1000

Philippine Airlines will be bringing back its flagship Airbus A350-1000 aircraft to the southern Philippine city of Davao on two special round-trip flights next month (August). 

Coinciding with the celebrations of the Kadayawan Festival in Davao, Philippine Airlines will deploy the A350-1000 on one round-trip flight on August 13 and 16. On August 13, the A350-1000 will be used on flights PR1813/PR1814 and on PR1805/PR1806 on August 16. 

Onboard, Philippine Airlines features its newest interiors aboard the widebody jet with 382 seats including 42 private suites in Business, 24 Premium Economy, and 316 in Economy. The aircraft is equipped with two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.

“Kadayawan is one of the most vibrant celebrations of Filipino culture, and Davao holds a special place in the hearts of our kababayans and travelers alike,” said Justin Warby, PAL Vice President for Sales and Distribution. “Bringing our newest flagship aircraft to Davao for this occasion is our way of joining the festivities in true PAL fashion — giving our passengers a flight experience as memorable as the destination itself.”

Philippine Airlines previously used the A350-1000 on special one-off flights to Davao and Cebu in early March.

Including a newly announced order made at the recent Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Philippine Airlines has a total of 18 A350-1000s on order. Two of which have already been delivered. Typically used on long-haul flights from Manila to both New York and Toronto, it has also been used on flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Five more A350-1000s are expected to be delivered to Philippine Airlines during the year 2026, followed by three more in 2027.
