Philippine Airlines orders 9 more A350-1000s

Following its announcement at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 that it plans to add widebody Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft to its fleet, Philippine Airlines announced it will take on an additional 9 Airbus A350-1000s.

The Philippine flag carrier signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the 9 A350-1000s with options for an additional 5. Once finalized, the additional aircraft will bring the total orders for the largest A350 variant by Philippine Airlines to 18. The 5 options will provide flexibility to support future fleet requirements and market opportunities.

Of the 18 total A350-1000s ordered by Philippine Airlines, two have already been delivered and are used on long-haul routes such as to New York and Toronto. The latest batch of orders are expected to be delivered between 2034 and 2036.

According to planespotters.net, Philippine Airlines currently operates a total of 4 A350s. It includes 2 A350-1000s and 2 smaller A350-900s.
