Korean Air will expand its presence in Japan with the addition of a new route to Hiroshima.

Starting December 23, Korean Air will operate daily flights on the Incheon-Hiroshima route using Airbus A321neo aircraft. The outbound flight KE2183 will depart at 1035H and arrive at 1215H. The return flight KE2184 will depart Hiroshima at 1325H before arriving back at Incheon at 1525H.

“The Hiroshima launch reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding connectivity across regional Japan. The airline has increased its Seoul Incheon–Aomori service to five weekly flights for the summer season, and expanded its Seoul Incheon-Okayama route to four weekly flights. The airline also operates daily flights to Niigata and Komatsu, and has added a late-night service to Osaka Kansai to offer passengers enhanced schedule flexibility.”

Korean Air currently operates flights to around 20 cities in Japan.

Between Incheon and Hiroshima, Korean Air will compete with budget carrier Jeju Air on the route.
