Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will be lowering their fuel surcharges for international flight bookings from South Korea next month.
Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will be lowering their fuel surcharges for international flight bookings from South Korea next month.
Following the one-month advance notice requirement, the one-way fuel surcharges on outbound (from South Korea) international flight bookings with Korean Air for August will be between KRW35200 to KRW 259200 (~USD $23.78 to USD $175.14). It is a decrease from the current rate between KRW46400 to KRW344000 (~USD $31.35 to USD $232.45).
Separately, Asiana Airlines announced its fuel surcharges for international flights bookings departing South Korea during August will be between KRW36600 to KRW202900 (~USD $24.73 to USD $137.10). It is a decrease from the current rate between KRW48500 to KRW275800 (~USD $32.77 to USD $186.36).
The applicable surcharge will be dependent on the destination, with those traveling on longer flights paying more.
