Korean Air to launch seasonal service to Melbourne

Korean Air will expand its presence in Australia with a new thrice-weekly seasonal winter (southern summer) service to Melbourne.

The thrice-weekly Incheon-Melbourne service will be operated every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday between December 18 through March 14, 2027. The outbound flight KE409 will depart Incheon at 0800H and arrive at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport in the evening at 2030H. The return flight KE410 will depart at 2200H before arriving back at Incheon the following morning at 0735H.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft will be used on the seasonal service.

“Driven by steady growth in travel between South Korea and Australia, the new route complements Korean Air’s year-round operations to Sydney and Brisbane. The service provides travelers with expanded non-stop options to Australia’s key cultural and business hubs during the peak winter travel period.”

Melbourne will be Korean Air’s third destination in Australia, where it currently operates flights to Brisbane and Sydney.
