AirAsia X is pushing back the resumption of its Kuala Lumpur-Busan route to late October.
Previously scheduled to be relaunched on June 17, AirAsia announced the shift in an article on its support page. The launch is now scheduled on October 23.
“AirAsia X has decided to temporarily suspend its services between Kuala Lumpur and Busan from 17 June 2026 to 23 October 2026 due to ongoing geopolitical uncertainty and supply chain disruptions. This decision was made as part of the airline’s network optimisation strategy to support long-term network sustainability while minimising disruption to our guests.”
The airline stated it will closely monitor developments and actively assess its flight schedules based on evolving market conditions and demand patterns. Affected customers have been notified and advised on their refund and rebooking options, which includes the ability to reroute their travel with AirAsia X to Incheon.
AirAsia X previously announced in mid-January it would launch four weekly flights (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) between Kuala Lumpur and Busan.
