Japan Airlines to boost A350-1000 to London, increase flights on select routes

Japan Airlines (JAL) will deploy its flagship Airbus A350-1000 on five routes from Tokyo Haneda, while increasing flights to San Diego, Bengaluru, Melbourne, Los Angeles, and Helsinki.


As part of changes to its international flight frequency plan for FY2026, JAL will operate its A350-1000 on its flights from Haneda to New York-JFK, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, London, and Paris. In addition to the daily Haneda-London flights (JL43/JL44), JAL will also use the flagship aircraft for flights JL41/JL42 between October 1 and March 27, 2027.


JAL will increase its flights on the Tokyo Narita-San Diego (JL66/JL65) route from four-times weekly to daily, and Narita-Bengaluru (JL753/JL754) from three-times weekly to daily between October 25 and March 27, 2027. It will also operate daily between September 1 and October 24 as previously announced.


Services on the Narita-Melbourne route (JL773/JL774) will be increased from thrice-weekly to daily during the period of March 1-27, in addition to daily flights from October 25 to February 28.


The Kansai-Los Angeles route (JL60/JL69) will see an increase from five-times weekly to daily between September 1 and October 24. The flights will be operated daily between July 1 and August 31.


Flights on the Haneda-Helsinki route (JL47/JL48) will be increase from five-times weekly to daily between September 1 and October 24. Daily flights are being operated on the route from June 1 to June 30.
